About
Hi,
Logen Kain here. I created Critical Sarcasm years ago to write reviews for video games.
That didn’t pan out, the writing industry is, and has been, in a sorry state of affairs.
Pay is gone, style is dead, and algorithms rule the content. All thanks to chasing the almighty coin. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
I followed a creator from YouTube to the locals platform and found it charming. The idea that we can gate away (Read: paywall) community contributions while maintaining free access to content is a brilliant idea that speaks to me.
I believe content should be free. Perhaps not writing it, preparing it, delivering it, hosting it, or other such things, but once I publish an article, a piece of code, a video, etc… it’s out there for the greater public consciousness to enjoy.
However, community is a struggle.
How many personalities do you want to interact with, but your only means is the YouTube comment section or X? Maybe they run a Reddit community, but even that’s going to be filled with… Well, Reddit.
For a small monthly fee, we can have real communities again, not just drive by comments or one way conversations. Even $1/mo can strike a blow against the horrors of being involved with any given (no cost) community.
It is my dream to grow a community of gamers sharing what they love in a dedicated space.
This isn’t just about me.
I want links to member’s Rumble, Twitch, Locals, YouTube, kick, peerTube, and videos from wherever else to litter our little community.
Join us! Let’s create something great together!

Here at Critical Sarcasm we believe in the mantra:
“Your freedom ends where mine begins” Unknown (I heard it from RMS)
This is similar to the golden rule of “Do unto others,” but also considers that idea that you may be comfortable with something that someone else is not.
Let us enjoy the games!
